Heather has great knowledge of the Roe Valley area and she always seems to manage to give every hike a unique twist or flavour and successfully tailor it to the fitness levels of the people hiking. There are some fantastic viewing points and there is always time to take photos, or just to take it all in during a coffee stop and feel at one with the world. Definitely good for body and soul!
Heather is a fantastic leader, she always seems to find the right level of challenge for the group and everyone manages the hikes well. I enjoy both the intimacy of the smaller groups on Wednesdays and the bubbling atmosphere of the bigger groups on the Sundays. She has an easy personality which makes everyone instantly feel comfortable and helps the groups to gel together on all the hikes. However, she is as hard as nails and is a very capable and well trained athlete. Perfect to lead a group of hardened hikers!
I have made quite a few hiking friends now through Pulse, and look forward to the camaraderie each time I go out. There is a super mix of people in the groups and it is a great chance to meet people and make friends.
I’ve been hiking with Pulse Adventures for nearly 12 months now but it never nearly happened! After years of niggling injuries I never believed I would be able to manage the terrain and distances but looking back I’m glad I took that first step.
I dug out my 20 year old hiking boots, threw on some jeans (I know not ideal!) and off I went. Despite not knowing many of the hiking group I was immediately made welcome and chatted for most of the mornings hike. Before I knew it we had covered many miles through forests, uphill and downhill but what surprised me most was the views that despite living locally for 15 years I did not know existed.
I was hooked and over the next few months we had many enjoyable hikes which culminated in the ‘Mind Over Matter’ challenge. The day was to consist of a 26 mile hike taking in Binevenagh mountain and Benone beach led by our trusty guide Heather. The day challenged all but I came away with a renewed love of physical challenges.
The drive to push myself had been missing for a long time and without Heather and Pulse this would still be missing now. Never feel you can’t do it and do as I did ‘Dig out your boots’ and take that first step!!
Doing boot camp with Heather and it’s the most fun I have ever had exercising.
Great work out really enjoyed it got a real good sweat on many thanks heather will certainly be out again.
First class workout and good friendly banter to ease the pain while training will definitely be back thanks Heather.
Done my 1st ever hike with Heather from pulse fitness today. Lovely girl, very welcoming and made time for a chat with everyone along the hike. Looking forward to the next
